its own secluded mile-long, exquisite white sand beach. Long Bay Beach
Resort & Villas is one of the largest resorts on the island of Tortola,
the main island in the British Virgin Islands. It is located
towards the scenic west end of the island, about twelve miles from
the airport and six miles from the main town, Road Town, The resort
has developed gradually over 30 years and is acclaimed worldwide for
its secluded and commanding beach location. The fact that Long Bay
is set on 52 acres allows the resort to cater to a wide range of customers,
offering privacy or activity as a matter of choice, Long Bay is suited
to honeymooners, couples, families and singles seeking relaxation

HILLSIDE OCEANVIEW, Set on the hillside approximately 100 yards from
the beach. These guestrooms are taste- fully decorated with designer
fabrics, light tropical furnishings and have balconies or decks with
views of the ocean.
HILLSIDE OCEANVIEW DELUXE, Located on the hillside approx. 75 yards
from the beach. These guestrooms offer a of king- size or twin beds.
Some of the guestrooms are located
around the Pelican Pool and Terrace, and here some connecting accommodations
are available. The Hillside Oceanview Deluxe rooms have marble vanities
and either a large covered deck, or balcony with oceanviews.
JACUZZI JUNIOR SUITES, Set in the hillside with unrestricted views,
these accommodations are excellent for couples and honeymooners. Peaceful
and private and offering king size bed, separate seating area and
whirlpool tubs in the bedrooms, they also feature VCR's and refined
luxuries such as marble vanities. Each room is equipped with its
own covered balcony or deck.
BEACHFRONT DELUXE, These spacious deluxe accommodations sit just yards
from the beach. Guestrooms are equipped with either a four-poster
king or two queen-sized beds.
Ocean views are provided from the large covered, 120 square foot terraces
or balconies. The Beachfront Deluxe rooms also feature, ceiling fan,
and large walk-in closet, separate shower area with marble vanity
and dressing area. Some adjoining rooms are available, connected via
the balcony.
BEACHFRONT CABANAS, Located on the waters edge, these rustic accommodations
are built on stilts between the palm trees, dock. affording magnificent
views and seclusion. Each Cabana has a king-size bed, ceiling fan,
wet bar, marble vanities, VCR, large private
deck and hammock.
VILLAS, Long Bay offers full-service two and three bedroom villas
with large comfortable living rooms, with cable TV and VCR and fully
equipped kitchen area, large decks with
outside seating and gas grills for barbecues. The bedrooms are air-conditioned
and have both king-size beds and twin beds, plus there is a pullout
couch in the lounge suitable for two adults.
Each spacious guestroom is equipped with air conditioning, cable TV,
refrigerator, coffee machine, alarm clock radio, hair dryer, clothes
iron, small ironing board and security safe. The direct dial telephones
are equipped with modem jacks and dial-in voice mail that may be accessed
from any phone on or off the resort. In addition, all rooms are equipped
with simply configured local ISP dial-up account from which guests
can access the Internet and
their own email with a laptop (ISP charges apply).
DINING
THE PALM TERRACE, For elegant, leisurely candlelight dining situated in the midst
of a Palm Garden, this restaurant is widely regarded as one of the
finest in Tortola and offers
a tempting selection of wonderfully prepared appetizers, entrees desserts
and fine wines and liqueurs to compliment your repast. Dinner is served
from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. (Food orders are taken until 9:30pm).
1748 RESTAURANT, 1748 is an alfresco restaurant located on the ground
floor of a renovated 18th century sugar mill with beachfront decking.
It offers a wide variety of grills, sea- food and local dishes. Breakfast
from 7:30am-11:00am; lunch from 12:00pm-3:00pm (subject to change);
Dinner 7pm-10pm on Buffet Nights.
PASTA HOUSE, is located on the upper level of the 18th-century sugar
mill. Open for dinner only, it serves traditional Italian cuisine
in two sittings. 6:30pm & 8:30pm. Reservations necessary. Room service
is not available.
BARS and LOUNGES
PELICAN POOL BAR, offers sandwiches, burgers and salads open from 11:30am-8pm.
PALM TERRACE BAR, a social or romantic setting adjacent to the Garden
Restaurant, opens at 6:00pm to closing (closed on Sunday).
