Goldeneye is 8 minutes from Boscobel (Ocho Rios) Aerodrome, 15 minutes
from Ocho Rios and 2 hrs from the Mo-Bay Airport.
Goldeneye is a Jamaican retreat built by "James Bond" novelist Ian
Fleming in the 1950's. He spent nearly 20 winters at this idyllic
spot and penned 14 of his famous "007" thrillers there. This hideaway
is now available as an Island Outpost resort. Goldeneye is truly a
magical place, providing simple luxury and casual comfort. The resort
is comprised of Fleming's original three-bedroom home along with four
villas varying from one to three bedroom units. The entire property
is available as one unit, or guests may choose the main house or the
individual private villas.

IAN FLEMING MAIN HOUSE, Has three bedrooms with private indoor and
outdoor bathrooms, including claw foot bathtubs and shower platforms
all surrounded by bamboo fencing and tropical foliage; a cut stone
courtyard and lily pond w/ exotic fish; a large living
room area including large bamboo couches & four-poster beds. Large
louvre windows and high ceilings encourage the flow of sea breezes
throughout the house, while a/c is available in the bedrooms. The
master bedroom features Ian Fleming's original writing desk, where
Fleming created James Bond and penned his well-known adventures. Maximum
occupancy is 6 persons.
VILLA ONE, Named Honey Chile compromising one large bedroom with a
queen size bed, living room, and indoor bathroom facilities w/ outdoor
bamboo shower. A separate living, dining and kitchen area open onto
a secluded cut stone patio adjoining the private cove.
VILLA TWO, Two-story stone and wood villa. Upstairs is two large bedrooms
and downstairs is a comfortable lounge area with a well stocked bar,
TV, stereo, board games and indoor bathroom.
VILLA THREE, Romanova, Vesper and Solitaire are individual villas
with access to a covered communal dining area and bar, and an entertainment
area with video and satellite TV facilities.
Room amenities include: Lush batik fabrics and mosquito netting in
the bedrooms, moulded sinks, outdoor tubs, plush cotton bathrobes,
assorted books, CD player w/ Palm Pictures CD library, direct dial
phones, and a/c. Specific bedding and/or special requests are fulfilled
based on availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
DINING
Authentic Jamaican cuisine is prepared to guests' liking daily for breakfast,
lunch and dinner. Fresh fruit juices are available continuously.
